I was out on the bayou and had my camera up when this guy came through on his bass boat. He was just heading in for the night. I tracked him as he passed and got the shot.
The light was already doing its thing before he showed up — that deep orange reflecting off the water, the cypress trees going dark on the horizon. He just happened to cut right through the middle of it at the right moment.
I’ve been out there evenings when nothing comes together. This one did.
